The low profile version of the Adjuster can be used successfully when buttocks area pressure sores are not present.

Low profile sizes are; by the manufacturer, limited to the following sizes for non-special orders: (16"x16"), (16"x18"), (18"x16"), (18"x18"), (18"x20"), (20"x16"), (20"x18"). Vicair accomplishes the weight bearing function differently than other manufacturers of air cushions. The Vicair Adjuster employs many small permanently sealed air filled cells, rather than larger valved air cells. Each of the many small Vicair air cells is shaped like a tetrahedron (a volume enclosed by four sides). The feel of the cushion can be adjusted by unzipping the liner and removing or adding an appropriate number of air cells. A pack of extra air cells may be purchased with the cushion (refer to the cushion options above).

According to the manufacturer; the Comfort-Tek cushion cover has an easy-to-clean fluid proof exterior, and the Stretch-Air cushion cover is designed for air transmission.

NOTE: Vicair cushions are made-to-order. The manufacturing process typically takes 3 business days for standard sizes, and 7 business days for nonstandard sizes.
