Supracor Stimulite Smart Wheelchair Cushion with Soft Top

The Stimulite Smart wheelchair cushion can generally be categorized as a honeycomb cushion due to its honeycomb-like structure. Supracor - the manufacturer of this product - specifies this cushion as follows.

The extra cover option refers to purchasing a Stimulite Smart cushion and the extra polyester cover at the same time (not separately).

The Smart model is essentially a version of this manufacturer's Sport cushion, but with the softer XS top layer. It is made of the same perforated and breathable, open cell honeycomb structure as Supracor's other Stimulite cushions. The cushion's excellent breathability (as compared to other types of cushions) assists in the prevention of skin maceration. As with all Stimulite cushions, the Stimulite Smart can; by request, be ordered with a sheep skin cover, but the sheep skin cover is less breathable than the standard cover.

Like the Sport model, the Stimulite Smart cushion is designed especially for use by wheelchair athletes during athletic events, or by other indiciduals who do not need the thicker cushioning associated with the Classic and other models. Unlike the Sport model, the Stimulite Smart wheelchair cushion exhibits a softer feel due to its XS-like top layer which cannot be obtained on the Sport model. These same features also make this cushion desirable for use by able-bodied individuals during prolonged seating engagements (e.g., airplane pilots, bus drivers, mail carriers, etc.). This particular honeycomb cushion is also well suited for use by sports fishermen during all-day fishing tournaments (note that water does not adversely affect any of the Stimulite honeycomb cushions).
